ABOUT SYRIAN-BRITISH CONSULTANCY INSTITUTION

We are a British consultancy organization with extensive knowledge and experience of working in Syria. We are experienced in the UK business standards, and we will provide a bridging platform between British companies and business opportunities in Syria.

SBCI is led by Dr Abdulmaten Taroun, a British/Syrian management expert and academic.

Before moving to the UK, Dr Taroun studied Civil Engineering and worked as a Construction Project Manager in Syria.

He has got a master’s degree in Construction Project Management from Heriot-Watt University and a PhD degree in Business Administration from Manchester Business School.

Dr Taroun is an academic specialized in Decision Making and Risk Analysis with professional experience in Project and Operations Management.

He is currently the Head of Management and Finance Department at Worcester Business School and he teaches and supervises doctoral research projects in these areas. 

SBCI aims to help British companies ethically grasp the business opportunities that Syria offers, support their decision-making processes and risk management in relation to doing business in such an unfamiliar market, and manage their projects and business investments in Syria.
